On September 11, 2021 Christina Murhill and Brendan Hayes got married at Muckross Church in Killarney and moved on to Ballyseede Castle in Tralee, Co. Kerry for their wedding reception with 100 close family and friends.
“We had such an amazing, relaxed day where we were able to spend time with our nearest and dearest to celebrate such a wonderful day. Muckross Church and Ballyseede Castle were such wonderful venues, and the staff were all so attentive. We were one of the first weddings held once Covid restrictions had begun to lift so it was important to have a relaxed and fun day with family and friends and that is exactly what we got,” shared Brendan and Christina.
Christina’s dress was from Beau Bride in Kildare and their cake was created with love from Bake Killarney. They hired Terry from Shades of Bloom in as their florist, who also looked after a stunning flower arch outside the church. Elegant Styles by Lorraine was on hair styling duties and Aine Doherty did a fantastic job on everyone’s make up day one and day two. Pictures on the day were captured by David Frain Photography and VowArt filmed their day on video. Due to the proximity of their wedding venues to Killarney National Park, the bride arranged for the wedding party to be collected by jaunting car and taken to the park for photos. “It was still busy with tourists in September so we had great fun and waving at passers-by as we drove past.”
“We printed newspapers for the drinks reception which documented our journey as a couple, the preparations for the wedding as well as the bridal party and family photos. As we had a small number of guests, we also hand wrote individual thank you notes for everyone. It was nice to thank people individually for all their help and support to us over the years.”
