In 2019 Louise and Philip attended a friend’s wedding – the same wedding. Louise was a friend of the brides and Philip of the grooms. Fate intervened and clearly love was in the air as Philip had caught Louise’s eye earlier on in the day. They spent the evening chatting which inevitably led to Philip whisking Lousie away to the dance floor in which she says, “he quite literally swept me off my feet.”
In Our Lady and St. Michaels Church in Ennistymon, the sounds of traditional Irish music rang through the chapel as Louise, led by her two bridesmaids, walked up the aisle to meet her soon to be husband at the altar, as his two groomsmen stood alongside him. Louise stunned in a classic A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline and beading across the shoulder and bodice, while 186 guests looked on as the pair said their “I do’s.”
As the nuptials ended the two love birds took flight to the Falls Hotel and Spa in Ennistymon for a grand reception joined by friends and family who dined on a choice of either roast beef, chicken and salmon for the main course. Louise and Philip’s wedding photos at The Falls Hotel and Spa were truly breathtaking, with picturesque backgrounds that made for stunning images. Baker Photography did an excellent job capturing the couple’s special day, and their favorite photo was one where Louise and Philip stood on the famous rock at the bottom of the waterfall.
As a wedding favour the couple offered cork beer mats with their wedding date on them and packets of wildflower seed. And just as they did on their very first encounter, the happy couple took to the floor for their first dance to the iconic number “At Last” by Etta James. As it was such a magnificent day, there was no single memory that Louise could pick out as her favourite, but she did mention how nice it was to have her family and friends travel from the UK to be with them. Following such a fabulous weekend, the newlyweds jetted off to Dubrovnik in Croatia to enjoy their honeymoon.
Louise’s Advice Louise wishes to advise future brides and grooms to “simply relax when the special day comes and accept the events that take place for what they are.”
“We met Ken Baker in 2022 at my cousin’s wedding in the Glen of Aherlow; he was fabulous, and we got on really well with him, he made us all feel very relaxed, and we could laugh and joke with him. He was available on the day we needed and there was nobody else we wanted.” bakerphotography.ie
? “The hotel was fantastic, so relaxed about everything, which rubbed off on us, the day went like clockwork. Everyone was impressed with the quality and quantity of the food throughout the day, matched by the amazing service from the local staff who could not have done any more.” fallshotel.ie
