Niamh Breen from Kenmare, Co. Kerry met Graham Murphy, Co. Derry while working
as a nurse in Abu Dhabi in 2018. The couple still reside there today but it was important to them to come home to Ireland to get married. On April 30, 2022, they said their vows in front of 130 guests at Holy Cross Church, Kenmare and celebrated their nuptials afterwards at Dromquinna Manor
in Kenmare.
Niamh got her beautiful dress at The White Ivy Bridal Boutique, Kenmare. Their flowers came from Kenmare Flowers and their cake was made with love from Brenda O’Donovan. Niamh’s dad, Davey, custom made a hand-crafted wooden cake stand to match the rustic theme of the cake. Photographer Padraig Healy took all the pictures and wedding band, The Real Shindig entertained guests well into the early hours of the morning.
Niamh's Favourite Memories
“There are so many great memories of the day! Getting ready at home in our thatched cottage was like a fairytale. On the morning of our wedding my mom gave me the most precious gift of her mom’s weddings rings, in a beautiful wooden box ‘passing down the love’. I will cherish the rings forever. I loved walking down the aisle with my dad, seeing my friends and family, and the giggles before he ‘gave me away’ to Graham. Another highlight was my little nephew, Brooklyn started walking the week of our wedding at 11 months which was very fitting for his debut as pageboy.”
Graham's Favourite Memory
“My favourite memory was touring around Kenmare on a horse and trap and waving to all the well-wishers and passers-by (driven by family friend Bernie Casey).”
