Angela Neville married the love of her life Cathal O’Mahony at St. Mary’s Church, Listowel and held their wedding reception at the Listowel Arms with 50 guests.
Angela purchased her dress at Finesse Bridal Wear in Listowel and really took a moment during the drinks reception on the balcony of the hotel to just soak it all in; the splendour, the magic of the day, the warm weather and how lucky they all were to be able to get married with 50 of their closest family and friends during a pandemic.
Advice
The bride’s advice to those coming behind her- “Try not to get too stressed. Make a list of ‘to do’s’ as early as possible and priortise the main items such as booking the hotel, church, band etc.. The small things will all fall into place closer to the time. Things are bound to not go exactly to plan but try not to let it upset you.”
How was your experience at the Listowel Arms?
“It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day and the front of the hotel, which is covered in colourful ivy, made for a stunning entrance photo. The drinks reception was out on the balcony overlooking the River Feale and with Manilla Strings providing the background music, it felt to everyone like we were on a foreign holiday. The staff at the Listowel Arms were first class, attending to all our needs in a relaxed, professional and friendly manner. The meal was absolutely top class, with all guests commenting on the five-star quality food and service. Although we were limited to 50 guests due to the restrictions, the ballroom was arranged superbly which made it seem like there were many more guests. All round, a wonderful day from start to finish.”
