After changing the date four times, Anita Donovan finally married Niall McMahon on July 29, 2021 at St. John’s Church in Ballybunion and held their beautiful wedding reception at the bespoke Listowel Arms Hotel in Listowel, Co. Kerry. They were accompanied by Noelle McCarthy, Catriona Madden and Cate Donovan as bridesmaids and Brian Fouhy, Tommie McMahon and Pa McMahon as groomsmen. And it was an extra special day as all four of their flower girls, the bride’s four nieces, Maeve, Claire, Helena and Ava Donovan came from America.    

Anita’s beautiful dress was purchased at Finesse Bridalwear in Listowel and her pictures on the day were taken by Brendan Landy of Landy Photography. The couple’s favourite memories are; “Anita walking down the aisle, the harvester outside the church and the way the hotel was decorated,” recalls Niall, who has a serious passion for Combine Harvesters. Anita’s favourite memories are “my dad (Christy Donovan) walking me down the aisle, meeting Niall at the alter, Patrice welcoming us at the entrance of the Listowel arms and finally experiencing the red carpet.” 

Anita and Niall took a small minimoon around Ireland to relax after the big day.
