The Wedding

Just over a year later, on June 10, 2023, Katie and Kieran were married in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Killarney, later celebrating their wedding with 220 guests at the Great Southern hotel, Killarney. Although the evening mostly ‘went off without a hitch’, a less fun surprise was in store for Katie when a friend of Kieran’s spilled an entire glass of red wine down her back during the reception! But this didn’t stop her enjoying her day - luckily it happened after they had finished with the professional photos, captured by the wonderful Diarmuid O’Donovan. Their day was also captured on film by Filmme Wedding Videography. One of their favourite photos on the day was of Katie and Kieran standing on the steps of the Great Southern toasting in celebration with glasses of champagne. For other couples planning such a special occasion Katie and Kieran advise not to get carried away with the small details. ‘Soak in the day as much as possible and enjoy all the special moments with your new spouse and all the loved ones that came together to celebrate with you.’ The couple currently live in Chicago, Illinois with Ash, their faithful Aussiedoodle. While visiting Ireland Katie and Kieran visited the Munster Wedding Extravaganza, hosted by Brides of Munster, and booked their photographer, videographer and their wedding planner.
