Summer Lovin' Summer Trends

Ahhh summer. Who doesn’t love the long warm evenings, the bright and dry mornings, and the warm summer rays? Summer is peak wedding season and we are here for the trends this summer! Take a look at our faves!

Bright Colours

Bright colours are a main feature of weddings this summer. The more colours the better, and mixing different colour palettes and patterns helps create the beautiful bright and colourful summer wedding of your dreams. Don’t be afraid to mix and match your favourite colours and shades to get the perfect colour palette.

Fruits

Summer is all about those fabulous fruity flavours, so incorporate them as much as possible into your menu and you could even add some wild berries to your bouquet and flower arrangements. Some fruity salads, tasty desserts and even some fruity cocktails will help add that warm summer feeling to your wedding.

Lighter Fabrics

Who doesn’t love a good flowy skirt and light airy fabrics in the summer? Just helps to make you the summer goddess of your dreams! The light and flowy fabrics for your bridesmaids and even your dress is a great way to feel more summery and get with those vibes.

Dramatic Flowers

Bigger is most definitely better when it comes to blooms this season and big dramatic flower creations are the way forward! Big bright blossoms and massive centre pieces and isle flowers are a must for this season.

Cocktails

Cocktails are a must have for the lovely warm weather and what better way to celebrate the sunshine than your own little cocktail bar at your wedding! Have a menu of all your favourite cocktails and party the night away one cocktail at a time. We just love this trend and it’s one the guests will certainly love too!

Industrial weddings

It might sound a bit insane but the industrial style weddings are simply fabulous. A pared-back relaxed style wedding with rustic decor can really have a homey feel to it. It’s different and super trendy and will certainly be well remembered.

Shower bouquets

We can’t get enough of the beautiful shower bouquet trend for this season; they really do look utterly special. They are simply to die for and look amazing in your hand draping beautifully.

Silk

Silk is so in this season and the beautiful soft flowy fabric is exactly what you need for your summer wedding. Whether it’s your dress, table cloth or table runners, chair ties, ribbons or accessories, silk is a fabulous material to incorporate into your wedding this season. Whatever colour you desire, silk is the fabric to go with.

Traditionally, bridesmaids have worn the same dress to create a cohesive and uniform look. This practice dates back to ancient times when bridesmaids were tasked with protecting the bride from evil spirits or potential suitors. By dressing identically, it was believed that the bridesmaids could confuse any ill-intentioned individuals and ensure the bride’s safety. Over time, this tradition evolved into a way to symbolise the unity and support of the bridal party. By wearing the same dress, bridesmaids visually demonstrate their commitment to the bride and her special day. It also helps to create a sense of harmony and balance in the overall wedding aesthetic. However, in recent years, there has been a shift towards more individuality and personal expression in weddings. Many brides are now opting for a more modern approach, allowing their bridesmaids to wear different dresses that suit their individual styles and body types. This change reflects a desire to celebrate the unique personalities and preferences of each bridesmaid, while still maintaining a cohesive look. If you’re considering breaking away from the traditional matching bridesmaid dresses, here are some tips on how to do it:
