It’s been tradition for the longest time to gift your guests with a wedding favour. Although, it has died in popularity in recent times (or been replaced with charity donations) if you are still considering gifting your guests with something special here are 10 ideas we thought you might like.
Speak to a chocolatier and see what the cost would be to have both your initials engraved into a piece of delicious chocolate or fudge. Have it wrapped in see through paper with a nice ribbon; it adds a bit of luxury to your wedding table.
If you are having a colourful wedding and like a bit of a retro vibe, then can we suggest getting those small plastic bubble gum machines and popping one on each table for guests. It’s not something you see often and who doesn’t love some bubble gum.
Ask your cake designer can they do a boxed cupcake for each guest and even go as far as seeing what the cost would be to have the box initialised. It would be a nice added extra for their dessert (and some may eat it before the meal if it looks that good).
You can easily design up something classy to pop on everyone’s place settings (go with your colour scheme here) and just say drinks voucher on it. Alert the bar that you need a tab open and that way each person can get their own drink late into the evening. They might prefer this than more food.
If you come from a strong family of cooks, then why not have a few of your family’s favourite recipes designed up on a card and shared as a favour. They can be put into an envelope with a note asking them not to share it with anyone else.
If you have the budget, wouldn’t it be wonderful to do a caricature of each person as their place setting. This takes work (getting a photo of each guest) and it’s expensive, but it shows you went to a heck of a lot of trouble for their sake.
Who doesn’t like travelling, even if it’s only to a hotel an hour away. Everyone has luggage but not everyone has luggage tags with your wedding names and date on it. Buy them in bulk and receive a discount.
If your wedding day is over the festive season, then gift your guests with an engraved (or non-engraved) bauble for their Christmas Tree. You could mix and match this one so each guest gets a different ornament.
Again, this is a big one, but if you can source a picture of you (or your other half) with your guests and frame each one and have it on their place setting it would go down a treat. Warning here, you can’t leave anyone out, so you must make sure you have a picture with every guest or you will have to shelve this idea.
