Autumnal Hues That Spark Romance

Autumn couples are spoilt for choice when it comes to succulent, deep colours that enrich one’s wedding day more than any other season. Autumnal brides and grooms are gifted more than just romance and happiness, they are invited into a season like no other when it comes to vibrant colours and hues that become such a huge part of a couple’s wedding day. Below, we’ve compiled a number of colour schemes that you can incorporate into your wedding theme.

Sage and pumpkin

Nothing screams autumn like burnt orange. Team up a pumpkin orange alongside sage green and you are on to a winner very quickly. When we think of this colour palette we think lush forests, autumn harvests and art portraits. You could include mini pumpkins as place holders and have your cake supplier create customised flat cookies with vintage art portraits to tie it all in.

Purple all the way

It has been said that purple is the colour of royalty and what better day to feel slightly regal than on your wedding day. Purple shades like raspberry, blackberry, cranberry, plum, eggplant and blueberry go a long way towards creating a depth on your wedding day. Think velvet, warm throws, berries on your cake and cocktails.

Marigold and black

Bold all the way on this one. Marigold is not a colour one would expect to produce in autumn but married with black it creates a sophisticated, and, yet, fresh dual tone. Go big or go home on this. Customise your invites, table plan, cakes and dare I say it attire, with a splash of marigold and black and you’ll have your guests swooning over the detail. Think candles and napkins in these dual colours.

Plum, sage and peach

Let’s get rustic with this one. It’s brave, it’s go big or go home but it’s also very popular. Mixing in the sage provides the neutrality you might need to tone it down a peg but together they create a space for a beautiful combined mix of sophisticated tones. Why not add real peaches to your tables that will go really well with your bouquets and centrepieces.

Navy and pastels

The possibilities with this colour palette are endless. You can mix up the vibe to no end throughout your theme. From table linens to invitation and flowers and all along the bridal party, navy and pastels are rocking weddings for 2022 and are predicted to go well into autumn 23/24 also.

Olive and copper

If it’s striking you are after, yet airing on the side of coolness then can we suggest pairing olive and copper together. These tones have a hint of masculinity attached to them, and yet don’t cross a line either. Your wedding décor can be bold and understated at the same time, but one thing is for sure, it will stand out like no other.

Traditionally, bridesmaids have worn the same dress to create a cohesive and uniform look. This practice dates back to ancient times when bridesmaids were tasked with protecting the bride from evil spirits or potential suitors. By dressing identically, it was believed that the bridesmaids could confuse any ill-intentioned individuals and ensure the bride’s safety. Over time, this tradition evolved into a way to symbolise the unity and support of the bridal party. By wearing the same dress, bridesmaids visually demonstrate their commitment to the bride and her special day. It also helps to create a sense of harmony and balance in the overall wedding aesthetic. However, in recent years, there has been a shift towards more individuality and personal expression in weddings. Many brides are now opting for a more modern approach, allowing their bridesmaids to wear different dresses that suit their individual styles and body types. This change reflects a desire to celebrate the unique personalities and preferences of each bridesmaid, while still maintaining a cohesive look. If you’re considering breaking away from the traditional matching bridesmaid dresses, here are some tips on how to do it:
